Immediate Safety and Well-being Concerns
If you or someone you know is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, contact Campus Police or dial 911. CASE offers a confidential 24/7 hotline for students who have experienced interpersonal violence at (662) 816-5377. You can also reach licensed counselors who are ready to assist with mental health crises 24/7 at (662) 915-3784.

CARE Referral: UMatter
UMatter supports students as they navigate various challenges that may interfere with their ability to persist at the University of Mississippi. The referral process begins by submitting a CARE Referral, which may be appropriate when a student is experiencing distress, needs assistance beyond what you’re able to provide, and/or may be at risk of harming themselves or others.

Sexual Misconduct, Supportive Measures, and Accommodations: Title IX
The University of Mississippi is committed to fostering an environment that prevents sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment, and other unwelcome sexual conduct and interpersonal violence. As part of this commitment, the University adheres to effective, equitable, and fair procedures to investigate and adjudicate formal complaints containing allegations of this nature.

Interpersonal Violence: Office of Confidential Advocacy, Support and Education
CASE supports members of the University community impacted by interpersonal violence, including physical, sexual, verbal, and emotional abuse, as well as stalking and technology-facilitated abuse. We serve as a liaison between the University and local resource groups. Our certified campus advocates provide confidential, non-judgmental support and options to empower students to create an individualized plan for healing. Bias-Motivated and Prejudiced Incidents: Campus Climate Concern Form
Bias-related incidents are defined as alleged threats or acts of harassment or intimidation, whether verbal, written or physical, which are motivated by a bias against a person or property in whole or in part because of that person’s age, color, ability, marital status, national or ethnic origin, political affiliation, race, religion, sex (including pregnancy), socioeconomic status, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, veteran status, family medical or genetic makeup or information, intellectual perspective, criminal background and potentially other identities or identifiers.

Is there a conflict you need help resolving? Are you aware of an incident involving a student who is potentially acting in a manner inconsistent with community values? If so, contact the Office of Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct, and we will do our best to help resolve the conflict peacefully and appropriately.

Accessibility and Accommodations: ADA
The ADA Coordinator oversees accommodation requests and ensures equal access to students, employees, and members of the University community. If you encounter accessibility issues, we encourage you to report them using the form below. Submission of the form does not constitute a formal complaint, grievance, or request for academic or workplace accommodation. Its intent is only to assist in identifying and addressing barriers to access.

Complaints by Students
Academic complaints include the following: academic conduct and discipline, academic standing (probation, suspension, and/or dismissal), and grade appeals. View more information in the course catalog.
Non-academic complaints include the following: admission appeals and petitions for readmission, bursar appeals, discrimination, sexual harassment or sexual misconduct, financial aid and scholarships appeals, parking and traffic appeals, residency appeals, student conduct and judicial appeals, student housing appeals, and University Police Department appeals.
General complaints are used when a student cannot determine if the complaint is academic or non-academic.
