Brief Bio
Dr. Alice Cooper is Professor of Political Science. She received her Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1988. After seven years at the University of Virginia, she joined the Political Science department at the University of Mississippi in 1995. Dr. Cooper teaches courses on Comparative Politics and in particular on European politics. She has written one book, seven articles and several book chapters, all solo-authored, on various aspects of German politics. Dr. Cooper has also co-authored six additional articles on topics related to the European Union's public policy. She served on the executive board of the German Studies Association from 2013 to 2016.
