UNIVERSITY OF MISSISSIPPI SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES


The Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy operate on both the Oxford and Jackson campuses. The Schools of Dentistry, Health Related Professionals and Medicine, and the Health Sciences Graduate School, are based in Jackson only. (Additional healthcare programs are available through the School of Applied Sciences on the Oxford campus.) Other than these exceptions, the schools above are on the Oxford campus.

Brief Bio

Burhanettin Keskin received his B.A in Sociology from Ataturk University in his hometown of Erzurum, Turkiye in 1997. Upon his graduation, he received a full scholarship from the Turkish Ministry of Education to study abroad. He received his M.A. degree in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Special Education from the University of Colorado-Denver in 2001. He received his PhD in Early Childhood Education at Florida State University in 2005. After his graduation, he moved back to his hometown and worked as an assistant professor of Early Childhood Education at Ataturk University. He taught at Columbus State University between 2009-2013. He is currently a professor of early childhood education at the University of Mississippi. His research interests are trends and the use of theory in child studies.
