Biography
David Flautt graduated from Millsaps College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He simultaneously earned his Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Mississippi. David is a member of the Mississippi Bar who is admitted to practice in all State and Federal courts in Mississippi. Having practiced law in Oxford, Mississippi since 1985, Mr. Flautt is a past president of the Lafayette County Bar Association. He is also a former member of the Board of Trustees for the School of Business Administration.
Mr. Flautt has a varied civil law practice that includes counseling and representing clients on contract matters, real estate, and business transactions and disputes, landlord and tenant law, commercial, agricultural, and residential mortgage defaults, including foreclosures and workouts, bankruptcy, wills, and probate and estate administration. He currently serves as Board Attorney for Communicare, a multi-county community mental health provider in this area of North Mississippi.
Mr. Flautt also began teaching undergraduate courses at the Ole Miss School of Business in 1985, and through the years his classes have included Principles of Real Estate for License Preparation in Mississippi, Introduction to Petroleum Land Management, Estate and Gift Taxation, and Business Law and the Legal Environment of Business, which he has taught continuously since 2005.
