Houston Lester is an Assistant Professor of Management at The University of Mississippi.

Biography

Houston Lester is an Assistant Professor of Management at The University of Mississippi. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He completed a VA Health Services Research and Development postdoctoral fellowship and worked as a programmer/statistician for the Baylor College of Medicine.

His research focuses on statistical methods for research on groups and teams, including multilevel models as well as Bayesian techniques. This research aims to increase the analytical fidelity between theoretical models and the statistical approaches that are used to assess these theories. His research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and is published in leading academic journals, including Organizational Research Methods and The Leadership Quarterly. Dr. Lester teaches Information Technology in Business for undergraduates and advises graduate students and postdoctoral fellows when they complete their statistical analyses.
