Kaustuv Bhattacharya is a Research Assistant Professor in the Center for Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Administration at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy.

Research Interests

  • Dr. Bhattacharya’s research interests include disease burden estimation, cancer survivorship, end of life care, pharmacoepidemiologic and pharmacoeconomic research using large administrative databases, measuring quality of care among patients with chronic diseases, psychometric validation of patient reported outcome measures, and assessment of patient-centered outcomes.
  • His past and current research has focused on assessment of economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes across a range of chronic conditions, including but not limited to: cancer, pain, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, rare genetic diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders.

Biography

Kaustuv Bhattacharya is a Research Assistant Professor in the Center for Pharmaceutical Marketing and Management and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Administration at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy. He received his Ph.D. degree in pharmacy administration, with a graduate minor in applied statistics, from the University of Mississippi. He has a broad background in pharmacy administration, especially health outcomes research, with specific training and experience in conducting primary data collection and analysis, secondary data analysis, and health economic assessment. His past and current research has focused on assessment of economic, clinical, and humanistic outcomes across a range of chronic conditions, including but not limited to: cancer, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, rare genetic diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. He has been involved in research projects funded by government agencies and pharmaceutical industry, and is actively involved in AMCP, SER, and ISPOR scientific societies.
