Brief Bio
Sara serves as an Assistant Professor of Special Education and Assistant Director of Assessment for the School of Education. Sara received her BA in Psychology from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, an M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Ed.S. in School Psychology from Emporia State University. She completed her Ph.D. in Special Education at the University of Mississippi. She is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP). She is also licensed as a special education teacher in Mild/Moderate Disabilities and Severe/Profound Disabilities as well a school psychologist in the state of Mississippi. Sara has presented her research in the area of technology and special education at the local, state, and international levels. Her most recent presentations were at the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) in 2022. Additionally, she teaches special education courses in the areas of technology, assessment, and severe disabilities.
