Dong-Won Lee

Lt. Dong-Won Lee is an Assistant Professor of Naval Science in the Department of Naval Science at the University of Mississippi.

Biography

Lieutenant Dong-Won Lee is currently serving as an NROTC Instructor at the University of Mississippi. He began his Navy career in 2013 enlisting as a Navy Hospital Corpsman, with assignments at NH Balboa in San Diego and NH Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Following his early service, he attended the United States Naval Academy from 2016 to 2020, where he earned his commission as a Submarine Officer.

As a Submarine Officer, LT Dong-Won Lee was stationed in Bangor, Washington, aboard the USS NEVADA (BLUE Crew), where he held the positions of Chemistry Radiological Control Assistance (CRA) and Assistant Engineer (AENG). During this time, he successfully completed four patrols, contributing to the mission readiness and operational success of the vessel.
