Dr. Jake Bennett is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Mississippi.
Research Interests
Dr. Bennett is an experimental elementary particle physicist working with the Belle II experiment based in Tsukuba, Japan, which boasts over 1,000 members from more than 25 countries around the world. His research is primarily focused on precision studies of rare and forbidden decays of charmed hadrons.
Biography
Dr. Jake Bennett earned his M.S. in 2009 and Ph.D. in 2014 from Indiana University. He was a Postdoctoral Research Associate (2014-2017) and Research Physicist (2017-18) at Carnegie Mellon University. He joined the faculty at the University of Mississippi in 2018.
