Biography
Wesley G. Jennings, PhD, is Gillespie Distinguished Scholar, Chair, & Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Legal Studies in the School of Applied Sciences and a Faculty Affiliate at the School of Law at the University of Mississippi. He has over 275 publications, his h-index is 73 (i-index of 192), and he has over 18,000 citations to his published work. He has been recognized as the #1 criminologist in the world in previous publications based on his peer-reviewed publication productivity.
His major research interests are quantitative methods, experimental and quasi-experimental designs, policing, and narrative intelligence. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the American Society of Criminology, and a Lifetime Member of both the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the Southern Criminal Justice Association. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences. Finally, he is a Past President of the Southern Criminal Justice Association.
