Principal Corps Application
Take the next step in your leadership journey.
To apply to the Principal Corps, complete an application through the University of Mississippi Graduate School.
Program of Study Selections
When completing the application, make the following selections:
- Under “I am interested in…”, select Education.
Under “My desired Program is…”, select one of the following:
- Educational Leadership (K–12) – M.Ed. (Face to Face)
- Educational Leadership (K–12) – Ed.S. (Face to Face)
Important: If you already hold a master’s degree in any subject or field, select the Ed.S. in Educational Leadership (K–12) – Face to Face.
- Under “I plan to enroll,” select Full Time.
- Under “My desired Term is…”, select Summer Session 2027.
- Under “My desired Campus Location is…”, select Oxford (Main Campus).
- Under “Within the program, my area of interest/study is…”, enter Principal Corps.
Then proceed with completing the entire application process.
Required Application Materials
Please make sure you submit the following materials as part of your Graduate School application:
- A competitive GRE score from a test taken within the past five years
- A current resume highlighting your leadership experience and accomplishments
- An endorsement letter from your current district superintendent
- Three letters of recommendation demonstrating evidence of your leadership potential
- A statement of purpose outlining your goals and motivation for pursuing school leadership
After you submit your Graduate School application and the required materials, you will receive an email with instructions for completing and submitting the three required Principal Corps essays.
