"I was the first person in my family to graduate from a university. Being able to build my own major has opened so many doors for my future career plans."
Carlos Fuentez
2022 MDS graduate from the Ole Miss-Booneville campus (pictured above). He plans to use his minors in education, psychology, and TESOL to travel abroad and work with students learning academic English.
About this Program
Sometimes your career goals and academic interests don’t fit neatly into a single major. You may want to explore a number of fields on a similar theme or select coursework that serves the diverse topics that you find interesting.
The Multidisciplinary Studies major was created to help students craft a major by combining three academic minors. Some BMDS majors select minors that complement one another and are focused toward graduate studies (i.e. history, English, and psychology) while others will select fields across Schools in order to better prepare for their intended career (i.e. economics, public policy, and esports).
