Mississippi Day

Mississippi Day is designed to be an easy, welcoming experience for guests of all ages. Free parking is available at the Tad Smith Coliseum and Gertrude C. Ford Center for Performing Arts. An ADA accessible lot is available at the Paris-Yates Chapel. Complimentary shuttles are provided to transport visitors to the central event locations near the Circle and Gertrude C. Ford Student Union and will run continuously throughout the event. Food will be available for purchase through the Grubhub app from a variety of campus and local vendors. Welcome tents located across campus will offer maps, giveaways, and assistance to help guests make the most of their day!

Mississippi Day is a free, family-friendly celebration open to the public, with activities for children, students, and adults alike. Guests can enjoy hands-on academic demonstrations, outdoor games, inflatables, a climbing wall, and interactive experiences hosted by university departments. Whether you are visiting with young children, exploring Ole Miss for the first time, or returning as an alum, Mississippi Day offers something for everyone!

Mississippi Day will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or lightning, guests are encouraged to seek shelter in designated indoor safety locations, including the Gertrude C. Ford Student Union and J.D. Williams Library. Event staff and volunteers will be available across campus to assist visitors as needed.

Mississippi Day is designed to be welcoming and accessible for all guests. ADA parking is available in the Paris-Yates Chapel lot, and an accessible shuttle service will transport visitors to central event areas. Guests needing additional assistance are encouraged to speak with a volunteer at any welcome tent. Welcome tents located throughout campus can assist with directions, accessibility questions, and general event information. Medical assistance and campus police will be on-site throughout the event to ensure a safe and supportive environment for all visitors.
