Virtual classroom simulation is not a replacement for real classroom practice, but a powerful complement that can enhance the quality and effectiveness of teacher education. By using TeachLive, teacher candidates can gain more exposure to diverse and dynamic settings, experiment with different approaches and techniques, and receive personalized feedback to support the refinement of their skills. TeachLive prepares teacher candidates to be effective communicators, collaborators, and educators!

How does TeachLive work?

The Avatars

Our avatars were created with diversity in mind to emulate a classroom in the real world. TeachLive gives you the opportunity to interact with realistic and responsive student avatars who behave like real students in a typical classroom. You will encounter various situations and scenarios that will challenge your teaching skills and enhance your adaptability.

Student avatars respond like real students, with abilities to ask questions, raise hands, and collaborate with peers. They can sometimes even cause mild distractions such as sleeping, texting, flirting, losing focus, blurting out, or bullying. These behaviors will require you to use effective strategies to manage your classroom, engage your learners, and foster a positive learning environment. TeachLive will help you develop the skills and confidence you need to handle any classroom situation with ease and professionalism.

The Simulation Specialists

Our team of expert Simulation Specialists is committed to crafting immersive and realistic scenarios that push candidates to actively participate in the art of teaching and adopt successful approaches in managing behavioral issues. Leveraging improvisation, vocal proficiency, and character development, our specialists adeptly navigate every scenario, ensuring impactful learning experiences for all.

Integrating TeachLive into Teacher Education

Utilizing Pre-Made Lesson Plans

The most common way teacher candidates are introduced to TeachLive is by delivering a pre-made lesson plan to our student avatars, who have realistic and diverse personalities, behaviors, and responses. We have a range of lesson plans-anything from Elementary Education to Music Education!

Creating and Delivering Lesson Plans

Teacher candidates can create their own lesson plans based on the curriculum standards and learning outcomes. They can customize the lesson content, activities, and assessments according to their own preferences and creativity.

Conducting Parent-Teacher Conferences

TeachLive empowers teacher candidates to master the art of parent teacher conferences, which are vital for building rapport and trust with families and communities. Through these immersive and realistic simulations, teacher candidates can learn how to communicate student strengths and weaknesses to parents and guardians in a respectful, appropriate manner that fosters trust and collaboration.

Enhancing Teacher Education

TeachLive is adaptable and flexible to different subject areas, grade levels, and learning objectives, making it a suitable and convenient tool for teacher education across various domains and contexts. Whether you want to ace your classroom management skills, prepare for future interviews, or have one-on-one hallway conversations with students, TeachLive can help you bridge the gap between theory and practice. You can access TeachLive from anywhere, anytime, and experience realistic and interactive scenarios with diverse and responsive avatars.
