Student Success Symposium
Two days, same mindset, new charge – Student Success in Higher Education.
What is the Student Success Symposium?
Academic Support Programs and the Center for Student Success and First-Year Experience is partnering with the Department of Higher Education here at the University of Mississippi to bring you a new two-day conference.
- The Student Success Symposium is a chance for like-minded professionals in the field of higher education to discuss academic support at their university/college and to build a group to network with throughout the year.
- This year's symposium will take place on Tuesday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at the Ballroom at the Inn at Ole Miss.
Topics this year will include: Academic Probation; Planning an Academic Probation Course; Academic Suspension; Mentoring Students on Probation and Suspension; Research in Academics tied to Probation and Suspension and Dismissal; Assisting Students returning from Academic Dismissal; etc.
Registration Fees
- Professional Staff Members $100
- Graduate Students/Assistants $75
Registering for the Student Success Symposium
When you register with the Symposium you get:
- 2 days in Oxford, MS, on this historic campus at the University of Mississippi
- To hear and learn from like-minded professionals about student success
- Deep-dives into academic probation, academic suspension, and academic dismissal for you to take back to your college/university
- Breakfast(s) and Lunch(es), of course, a Reception!
- Networking with colleagues from other schools.

Want to speak at the 2025 event? Do you have a presentation geared towards any of the topics above or want to host a roundtable type event? Fill out the presentation proposal and let’s see what comes of it!
