Determine Your Admission Category
- You are a freshman if you have not enrolled in any college or online institution since high school.
- You are a transfer student if you have taken any college or online courses after high school.
Steps to Apply
- Speak with your Educational Services Officer or counselor before enrolling.
- Visit the Freshman Guide to Admissions or Transfer Student Guide to Admissions to complete the application process.
After admission, attend an Orientation Session to learn about:
- Registering for classes.
- Placement tests, student ID setup, and email activation.
- Meeting with academic advisers.
Veteran-Specific Steps
- Submit a scanned copy of your DD-214 to veterans@olemiss.edu.
- Gain access to the Veterans Resource Center and early priority registration for classes.

Steps for Certification
- After registering for classes, submit the required documents for VA benefits.
- Certification of enrollment will be submitted to the VA 2–3 weeks before classes start.
Required Forms
- First-Time Applicants: Submit VA Form 22-1990.
- Transfer Students: Submit VA Form 22-1995.
- Dependents Using Benefits: Submit VA Form 22-1990e or 22-5490.

Navy College Program Tuition Assistance

Coast Guard Federal Tuition Assistance
