The Department of Technology Services oversees the IT Labs, IT Media, IT Procurement, and Classroom Technology teams. Our department collaborates with various administrative and academic units on campus to deliver quality technology services and assistance.
Delivering Technology Services Across Campus
The Department of Technology Services collaborates with multiple units across the University of Mississippi campus to ensure technology is accessible, easy to use, and functional for all students, faculty, and staff.
The Department of Technology Services consists of 4 teams that manage:
- troubleshooting assistance for equipment in over 200 classrooms,
- a multimedia computer lab open 7 days a week,
- loaning media equipment to faculty/staff in need,
- purchasing, ordering, receiving, and distributing technology campus-wide,
- and more!

Technology Services Teams
Classroom Technology
At the heart of our university are classrooms where learning takes place! Located in Powers Hall, the Classroom Technology team is dedicated to ensuring faculty and students have access to functional technology in over 200 classrooms across campus.
Our team provides state-of-the-art technology and quick responses to support calls to ensure seamless integration of technology and teaching.
IT Labs
The IT Labs team provides students, faculty, and staff with a productive workspace equipped with computers, printers, and software that allow you to be the best scholar you can be. The IT Labs team also helps operate and manage the Galtney Center for Academic Computing, which includes a computer lab with over 40 workstations, three laser printers, conference/study rooms for reservation, and more!
The IT Labs Team and IT Media Team are both housed in Weir Hall.
IT Media
The IT Media team provides equipment rental for faculty and staff such as projectors, laptops, and audio equipment.

IT Procurement
IT Procurement assists the university community in obtaining necessary information to make price conservative purchases while obtaining quality products to fit their needs.
