Voice, Department of Music
Voice students perform in a range of musical settings from opera to jazz, as soloists and in ensembles, while refining their talents and repertoire.

Working in choral, orchestral, art song, musical theatre, opera, and chamber settings, voice students receive well-rounded training. Students are mentored closely by our talented faculty in the studio, classroom, rehearsal hall, and coaching sessions.
Our ensembles provide unique opportunities for interacting with the rich tradition of song. From one voice to one hundred and fifty, UM Choirs and the UM Opera Theatre encourage the exploration of expression through a wide range of historical and contemporary styles.
