Good Life Participants at the University Museum.

The Good Life Program was developed through a collaboration of the following university departments:

College of Liberal Arts

The Good Life Program is part of the College of Liberal Arts Humanities Initiative, a program designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and a deeper public understanding of the humanities. The Humanities Initiative focuses on:

  • Encouraging collaboration between disciplines to promote a more integrated approach to learning.
  • Creating spaces, both intellectual and physical, where new ideas and innovative thinking can flourish.
  • Enhancing public awareness of the importance of the humanities and its role in shaping society.
  • Strengthening and coordinating existing programs to maximize their reach and impact.
  • Supporting scholars as they transition in their careers by providing time, funding, and resources to explore new research avenues.

Flagship First-Gen

The University of Mississippi Flagship First-Gen program is dedicated to ensuring first-generation college students thrive. It offers resources, opportunities and a community to students through the Alpha Alpha Alpha Honors Society, the First-Generation Student Network and events and speakers throughout the year.

Office of Pre-College Programs

The Office of Pre-College Programs in the Division of Outreach offers programs, events, and competitions that have been designed to challenge talented K-12 students to experience academic rigor and success at levels above what is expected of their age group.

Making the Good Life possible: The Teagle Foundation

The Good Life Program is made possible through the support of The Teagle Foundation's Knowledge For Freedom initiative, which supports programs that invite underserved high school students to college to study humanity’s deepest questions about leading lives of purpose and civic responsibility.
