Open Enrollment
Details about the open enrollment process for eligible faculty and staff benefits.
The Open Enrollment Process
When it is time for open enrollment, eligible employees will receive a Workday task in their My Tasks inbox to initiate their benefits enrollment. To get started, open the task and select Let's Get Started.
When you go to the Open Enrollment page, select Manage or Enroll for each benefit to review and/or adjust your elections.
Tip: If you review your benefits in advance (via your Workday Profile) and know you do not need to make changes, you can ignore or dismiss the task that launches on October 1. The only current benefit that must be managed to continue is the Flexible Spending Account (FSA). If it is not re-elected, it will not rollover to the next plan year.
After reviewing or making changes to a benefit, select Confirm and Continue to save your election and move to the next step. This does not finalize your Open Enrollment. You can return to the benefit and select Manage to make additional changes at any time before submitting your enrollment.
Dependents can also be added if a benefit is modified during Open Enrollment. To add a new dependent, select Add New Dependent and fill in the required information.
To add an existing dependent to a plan, select them from the list below the Add New Dependent button.
Select Save to complete the adding dependent(s) process.
Note: If the dependent is not verified, a document for proof of identity and relationship must be attached before submitting the benefit enrollment.
Once benefits have been managed, select Review and Sign.
Review the selected benefits, waived benefits, and the total cost of the plan(s) selected on the View Summary page.
Select Submit to finalize benefit elections.
