Learn about our AI Task Force
The goals of the AI Task Force are to build community and raise the profile of UM's work in AI and data science around the missions of teaching, research, and grant making.

AI Task Force
During the 2024-2025 academic year the Task Force will work to articulate guidance and best practices for consideration by the Provost. The Task Force will examine and consider best practices for the impact of artificial intelligence on the University's teaching, research, and service missions, as well as its business practices, and submit a report to the Provost at the conclusion of Spring semester 2025.
The Task Force typically meets on a quarterly basis to highlight research in pure and applied AI or DS by faculty and students, update the community on policy conversations, facilitate professional development for faculty and students, and share news about external developments that impact the University.
