Welcome to the Air Force ROTC
Here at the University of Mississippi Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corp, we build leaders. As a part of Det 430 at Ole Miss, we combine academic excellence with rigorous leadership training, preparing our cadets for success both in their military careers and beyond. Our program stands out for its strong sense of community, where every cadet is supported by experienced mentors, dedicated peers, and a university committed to fostering excellence.
Our legacy of leadership is exemplified by distinguished alumni such as the Honorable Roger Wicker, current United States Senator and champion of public service, General Paul V. Hester, and Lieutenant General James Edward Sherrard III, who all began their journey here as Ole Miss Air Force ROTC cadets. As part of the Ole Miss family, you’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities, opportunities for cultural enrichment through the Croft Institute and study abroad programs, and a vibrant campus life.
Our cadets graduate not only as highly capable officers in the United States Air Force and Space Force but also as well-rounded individuals ready to lead in any environment. Choosing Air Force ROTC at Ole Miss means embracing a tradition of leadership, service, and distinction. Your journey starts here—are you ready to lead?
