Minor in Military Science

Through the Army ROTC (Reserve Officers' Training Corps) college program, we prepare students to become officers in the United States Army, combining academic education with military training, leadership development, and physical fitness.

About this Program

Offered through the Army ROTC in the College of Liberal Arts, the Military Science minor develops well-rounded leaders of character for the Army or civilian life.

Army ROTC offers students the traditional college experience—while simultaneously preparing cadets to lead Soldiers in the United States Army. Students choose any major they desire and take ROTC classes and labs as an elective. As a member of Army ROTC, you are part of a winning, positive team founded on the Army Values of: Leadership, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage. We offer a variety of mentorship programs, shadowing opportunities, internships, and real-world military training to develop future leaders of character.

    Help Pay for College

    Army ROTC offers numerous scholarships and means of financial assistance. Fully qualified students are eligible to receive scholarships covering up to the full cost of tuition and fees (to include out-of-state tuition) or full room and board. Additionally, cadets can receive $1,200 a year for books as well as a $420 monthly stipend.
