UM Digital Accessibility has partnered with Deque University to offer self-paced, online training modules that are available to all faculty, staff, and students. The platform contains over 60 accessibility courses ranging from beginner to advanced on a wide range of accessibility topics.

IMPORTANT: The course required for access to MarComm web tools, such as Cascade, MyEmma, etc., is offered through this platform.

Accessing Deque Digital Accessibility Training

  • Sign Up For Accessibility Training through Deque University
  • You should receive an email from Deque within a couple of days of completing the form above. Within the email, select the “Create a Password” link to set up a password and then return to the “Login to my Account” link in the email to access the course and other content in Deque University.
  • If you do not receive the email from Deque within 48 hours of requesting access to the course, please email accessibility@olemiss.edu.

MarComm Tools Access Required Course:

Anyone requesting access to MarComm-issued tools such as Cascade, MyEmma, and Canva is required to take the Fast Track to Accessibility for any Role course.

  • You will be added to Deque University once we receive your Accessibility Training request using the form above, and you will receive an email from Deque that requires you to complete the account setup process through Deque.
  • To receive the certificate, you must complete the quiz associated with the Fast Track to Accessibility for Any Role course. The course should take about 1 hour to complete, and you will have 2 hours to take the associated quiz. The quiz should not take you the full two hours.

UM Digital Accessibility conducts weekly virtual training sessions on a variety of topics for all faculty, staff, and students during the months of August through May.

Customized trainings are available both in person and virtually if you would like for a specific topic or skill to be covered for your team or department. We look forward to working with you and your organization to increase accessibility awareness throughout the university.
