Student Resources
“I love the people here at Ole Miss, especially the international community.
Not only is there always something fun to do, but there is always someone fun to do it with! The Ole Miss community has been very welcoming. This is a great place to experience a typical American college campus.”

M.A. Journalism Student from Lille, France
Campus Life
We have over 400 student organizations, so there is something for everyone (or create a new group yourself!). Student organizations help you find like-minded classmates to feel at home and make new friends.
Many students attend athletic events, such as football and baseball games, play intramural sports, host cultural nights, join the Esports Team, attend lectures and cinema nights, or get involved in the local community! Oxford, Mississippi, is a cultural center of Mississippi and home to independent bookstores, local award-winning restaurants, clubs, and social events.
New freshmen live on campus in traditional or contemporary residence halls or in apartment-style buildings. Every residence hall has its own community assistant who supports students and creates events and activities for its residents.
Three major cafeterias serve Ole Miss students, but food also is available across campus at PODs (convenience stores), the Student Union (Panda Express, Chick-Fil-A, Qdoba, and Smoothie Bowls!).
Students can find a variety of options and have a meal plan so they are always full! Our local farmer’s market and grocery stores offer a variety of items for students to cook in their residence halls and apartments as well!
There is always something to do at Ole Miss and in the Oxford community! Enjoy performances at the Ford Center, SEC athletic competitions, tailgating, live music, eating Southern food, lectures on campus, art openings on the Square, film showings, recreation and games at the South Campus Recreation Center or Turner Center (we have two rec centers!), going out on the town, or simply strolling through the Grove with friends.
