How We Evaluate & Why It's Important
Progress toward the NCTR’s goals will be evaluated through quantitative and qualitative evidence, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
The 4 Ways We Evaluate Our Work
-
Achieving Goals & Objectives
The NCTR will evaluate its success through research output, education and workforce development, community partnerships, tactical population outcomes, and strategic visibility. Metrics include publications, funding, student training, professional placements, stakeholder engagement, and measurable improvements in health and readiness among tactical populations. These indicators, along with recognition and influence at national levels, will be compiled in annual reports and reviews to ensure accountability and guide continuous improvement toward the center’s mission.

Instructional, Research, and Service Outcomes
The NCTR will assess its impact across instruction, research, and service. Key measures include student enrollment, graduation, and applied learning outcomes; funded projects, publications, collaborations, and research influence; and service activities such as training, outreach, and agency partnerships. Feedback, performance data, and documented improvements in readiness will guide annual reports and evaluations, ensuring the center advances its mission while delivering measurable benefits to Mississippi and the broader tactical community.
