Student Affairs enriches the student experience outside of the classroom. We work hard to meet the mental, emotional and physical needs of our campus community. Our departments collectively create a well-rounded support system for our students – because our greatest success comes from their success.

The mission of Student Affairs is to facilitate a holistic, student-centered experience that nurtures the growth, dignity, development and talents of every student in preparation for a lifetime of learning, leadership and success.

Student Affairs will be nationally recognized for its excellence and innovation in supporting the success of students, its leadership in the profession, and as a premier destination for student affairs professionals.

Department of Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation provides outstanding services, inclusive programs, and educational opportunities to empower the University of Mississippi community in the pursuit of lifelong well-being.

Center for Student Success and First-Year Experience

The Center for Student Success and First-Year Experience promotes student success through comprehensive, multifaceted, and dynamic initiatives to ensure a quality collegiate experience for our diverse student population.

Office of Conflict Resolution and Student Conduct

Our office provides a comprehensive array of approaches to support The University of Mississippi’s values of civility, respect for human dignity, and the honoring of community standards.

Office of Confidential Advocacy, Support and Education

We provide confidential advocacy to assist victim-survivors of gender-based violence and serve as a liaison between the University and local resource groups. Confidential advocates are certified campus advocates who provide non-judgmental support, and options, and empower students to create an individualized plan for healing. Staff and peer educators also promote awareness through programming and provide education for students, faculty and staff concerning these topics.

University Counseling Center

At the University Counseling Center (UCC), you will find a team of dedicated professionals who strive to offer the best care possible in an atmosphere of acceptance and respect.

Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life

Our office empowers fraternity and sorority members to embody the values of their respective organizations and the FSL Core Values, in congruence with The University of Mississippi.

University Health Services

Created to serve students, faculty, and staff at the University of Mississippi, University Health Services is dedicated to meeting the health care needs of our community.

Luckyday Scholars Program

Luckyday Scholars are engaged in four areas of success: scholarship, community, service, and leadership. Through robust programming and with support and encouragement from Luckyday program staff and student leaders, Luckyday Scholars enjoy a wealth of opportunities to engage and grow as servant leaders.

UMatter serves as the official site for finding resources and information on how to care for yourself and your peers when in distress.

University Police and Campus Safety

Centralizing the best research to better understand student mental health and substance misuse, then sharing that information with the public through storytelling.

Student Development Grant

The Student Development Grant fund was created to offer a central source of funding for student activities.

  • This grant fosters students' educational and professional development by providing supplemental support for presentations at conferences or other special events.
  • Completed applications should be submitted to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs (Lyceum 233) a minimum of 45 days prior to the date of the conference.
