Many common questions and tasks can be resolved quickly using Workday’s self-service tools. We recommend starting here whenever possible.
These tools walk you through core tasks and processes step by step.
Workday includes built-in tools to help you find answers directly within the system.
Help Articles
Search for guidance by entering your question in the Workday search bar, then selecting the Articles filter. New articles will continue to be added after the go-live date.
Workday Assistant
An AI-powered conversational tool that helps you quickly locate actions, tasks, and information. Access it using the chat bubble icon in the top-right toolbar.
For Further Support
Submit a case directly in Workday. Hover over Personal (in the left-side menu) > Select Help > Select Create Case.
You can also reach out to your Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), who is here to support you across key areas, including Workday, Recruiting, and People Relations.
Past Support for Initial Go-Live
The following support channels were available to assist the campus community during the initial go-live of Workday HCM and Payroll. With the exception of Workday Help, these resources are now archived and no longer active.
This session offered a hands-on introduction to Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) and Payroll. Attendees learned how to manage personal and payroll information, navigate Workday’s smart tools, and unlock new efficiencies in their day-to-day tasks.

- Was open to all faculty, staff, and student workers
These sessions were intended especially for anyone who needed additional support in getting comfortable with Workday.
Workday Help is an in-system case management tool for more complex questions or business process issues.
How to access Workday Help:
- Hover over Personal (in the left-side menu)
- Select Help in the dropdown list
- Select Create Case.
This tool is still active and continues to be the appropriate way to engage the HR team!

Remote Campus Support
Workday support for remote campuses was coordinated through each location’s assigned Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). HRBPs served as the primary point of contact and provided direct, on-site support at remote locations as needed.
Please reach out to your HRBP for assistance.
The Encompass Customer Care Center provided dedicated support during the first 30 days of the Workday go-live.
