Our function is to align the University of Mississippi's expertise and reach with external partnerships to amplify UM's impact to economic growth, community development, and innovation across Mississippi, the MidSouth, and beyond.

• We lead and promote partnership between University of Mississippi and industry, community partners, economic development organizations, and other external stakeholders.
• Our foundation augments the Office for Research and Economic Development's strategy to grow collaborative and interdisciplinary research in support of the University of Mississippi's mission to teach, research, and serve.
• We coordinate enterprise-wide engagement and partnership between the university community with key and aspirational external partners.

UMRF supports partnerships that augment the University of Mississippi’s impact to economic growth, community development, and innovation across Mississippi, the MidSouth, and beyond.

We work with external stakeholders to augment the Office for Research and Economic Development's vision to advance applied research and innovation at Mississippi’s flagship university.

As an UM-affiliated 501(c)(3) foundation and in conjunction with the University of Mississippi Foundation, UMRF also serves as the preferred channel for philanthropic support to UM’s research and innovation priorities.
