Meet the people who play a vital role in supporting students by providing guidance, encouragement, and a connection to campus resources.

Who are Peer Mentors?

These students guide FASTrack students through common challenges, helping them become familiar with the University of Mississippi academic resources, campus life, and student services. During the fall semester, peer mentors are assigned to sections of EDHE 105, becoming student leaders to 20 first-year students in the program. Throughout the semester, peer mentors are expected to attend their EDHE 105 section every week. They assist the instructor with lessons and share their own student perspective with the class. Peer mentors also help coordinate various social activities throughout the semester, helping to further build the FASTrack community.

Peer Mentors play a vital role in helping new students transition to college by offering guidance, building community, and modeling strong academic habits.
