Workday Cutover Dates
As we prepare to transition from SAP to Workday, certain activities will pause or change to ensure a smooth, accurate transfer of information. These “cutover dates” mark important milestones in the final phase of implementation.
Preparing for a Smooth Transition to Workday
Workday will launch January 2, 2026, bringing improved tools for human resources, payroll, recruitment, and more. To ensure that Workday begins with complete and accurate data, there will be a series of Cutover Dates, which are key points when certain activities in our current systems must pause or change to allow us to move data into Workday. These dates are essential to ensuring a smooth, accurate transition.
These dates help us:
- Finalize and transfer data from SAP to Workday.
- Prevent errors or lost information during the transition.
- Allow time for training and readiness activities before go-live.

Changes Due to Workday Conversion – Go Live January 2, 2026

Oct. 28, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026 | Limited Hiring (Start Dates) Note: Limited hires will be allowed between October 28, 2025, and January 4, 2026. Exceptions for hires will be limited to essential and critical hires and require Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance approval. |
Oct. 31, 2025 | Benefits Enrollment and Open Enrollment New Hire Enrollment and Open Enrollment accepted until October 31, 2025. |
Nov. 1, 2025 | Reclassifications and Compensation Changes Reclassification and salary reviews processed on or after November 1, 2025, will have an effective date of January 25, 2026. |
Nov. 1, 2025 | Recruitment – Job Postings
Note 01: Critical and essential hires (with senior-level approval) may be posted and recruited until November 21, 2025. Note 02: Faculty searches must be completed in connectU by February 28, 2026. |
Nov. 1, 2025 | E-forms and ESS (Employee Self-Service) in myOleMiss
All processes underway must be completed by November 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. |
Semi-Annual Performance Reviews | Managers and employees should continue regular performance discussions; however, an online system will not be available for formal performance review documentation for the semi-annual review period of July 2025 to December 2025. Semi-annual performance reviews will resume in 2026. If formal documentation is needed due to performance issues or policy violations, please contact your Human Resources partner. |
Nov. 22, 2025 to Jan. 1, 2026 | DATA FREEZE on NOVEMBER 22 After the SAP system snapshot, critical and necessary personnel actions are manually entered in Workday (dual maintenance) |
Download Materials from connectU | We encourage you to download materials such as performance reviews and resume documents from connectU by Dec. 23, 2025. These items will not transfer to Workday, and if they are not downloaded by the deadline, they will no longer be accessible. |
