Elevating Your Student Experience

Big changes are coming in 2026 to make your Ole Miss experience easier, faster, and more connected.

What’s Changing
(and Why It Matters to You)

We’re upgrading the systems behind the scenes to make your day-to-day student life smoother. Two new platforms, Banner and Workday, are replacing a collection of custom and third-party programs (including myOleMiss). Starting March 16, you can begin exploring Experience, which will become the new academic portal in the Fall 2026 semester.

Think fewer logins, fewer steps, and everything you need in one place. Plus, the new systems will be mobile-friendly! These upgrades are part of Encompass, a campus-wide effort to make technology work for you.

Meet Experience!

Starting March 16, Ole Miss is transitioning to Experience as the new academic portal for students, faculty, and staff. During the transition, students will use Experience to register for Fall 2026 classes. Spring 2026 and Summer 2026 academic tasks (such as checking grades or registering for summer classes) will still take place in myOleMiss. Experience will fully become the primary academic portal in the Fall 2026 semester.

A Look at the New Systems

Here are some of the ways Banner and Workday will enhance your time at Ole Miss.

Experience: Your New Academic Portal

Starting March 16, you can begin exploring Experience, the new academic portal. This will become your main home base for nearly everything you do as a student in the Fall 2026 semester.

At first, only a few tools (called Cards) will be available in Experience to help you register for Fall 2026 classes.

As we get closer to fall, more features will open, supporting your classes, campus life, and beyond. Until then, you will continue to perform tasks related to the Spring and Summer semesters (like registering for Summer 2026 classes or checking grades) in myOleMiss.

A New Hub for Student Jobs

If you work on campus (or want to), Workday is now where you’ll find available student jobs.

In Workday, you can search and apply for jobs in one place, move through a more streamlined hiring process, and experience a more intentional onboarding process.

To search for student jobs, log in to Workday using your university login. In the Workday search bar, type Find Student Jobs and select the task to browse open positions and apply directly in Workday.
