How do I connect to UM Wi-Fi?

To access the UM WiFi select the network that relates to you.

  • All WebID holders will connect to OleMiss
  • Sponsored guests will connect to OleMissGuest
  • Specialty devices (SmartTVs, game consoles, etc) will connect to OleMissDevices. Devices should NOT have to be re-registered on the myDevices portal.

When visiting another university, Eduroam is a service that provides wifi access via your existing UM WebID and password at other participating universities worldwide.

A visitor in our office needs to connect to the Wi-Fi network. What can I do?

The guest wireless services web site allows WebID users to sponsor temporary UM Wi-Fi accounts for guests. Using the guest's email address, sponsors can create an account and send the auto-generated password to the guest via text message.
Please Note: Guests are bound by the Appropriate Use Policy and sponsors are responsible for their online activities.
